Thank you for this amazing demo. I really enjoyed playing it. here are some bugs I found plus some personal suggestions. sorry if it's too long.
BUGS:
1- pausing problems
it seems pausing does not actually pause the game but only pauses the player and shows a menu.
1.1- In the hub if you stand in front of a door and you pause the game and try to navigate through the menu if you press the up key the door takes that input and takes you to the level
1.2- In the sewers level in the boss chase-fight if you pause the game the boss will go past you and then you can just follow it until it explodes.
1.3 in the Mika fight if you pause the game you'll be taken to the hub the pause menu will remain active but does not render and you will see yourself in the hub not being able to move. if you choose to continue the game you will continue it from the hub.
2- the wall jump
I don't know if this was intentional or not but when there are two parallel wall with spaced out sticky stuff on each of them you only need one of the walls to go all the way. and you don't need to jump from a wall to the other one.
3- Mika boss fight
3.1- you can glitch through the bullets by attacking them
3.2- the floating Mika's hitbox seems to be smaller than herself
3.3 the pausing problem mentioned earlier
4- the Aloupeeps
if you die while an Aloupeep is following you the Aloupeep stays where you died and won't respawn with you
SUGGESTIONS:
1- Layla
1.1- It would be funny if Layla reacted when you try to attack her
1.2 If you start a conversation with Layla there is no skip and if you spam the up button you might start the conversation all over again. it's better if the conversation wouldn't be triggered unless the player has moved since the last time it got triggered.
2- the hub
every time you're sent to the hub you're send to the start and you have to walk all the way to the door of the last level. it would be better if you were sent to the door of the last level
3- things that might be a me skill issue but I'm gonna write them anyways :)
3.1- attack cool down
it seems a bit too long
3.2- In Mika boss fight some melaticults spawn right where the player is standing. I don't know if this was intentional but on some runs this makes the level almost impossible
3.3- Music kinda sounds muffled
4- controls
I find it more comfortable if you use WASD instead of the arrow keys, use space for jump, and right shift for attack. or even better, allow the player to map the controls them selves in the settings.
THANKS FOR READING THIS LONG FEEDBACK, AND THANKS FOR THE AMAZING GAME <3
When I was fighting against Mika, I grabbed a Melaticult and I got stuck, I couldn't move and nothing hurt me, i just can jumping, apart from that, very good game, good luck with the development.
Thank you for the feedbacK!
absoluetly epic
virus 👍
We mentioned this in the description, but basically, some PCs flag the game as a virus, but the majority of PCs don’t. Hopefully future versions of the game won’t have this issue as we are currently looking into ways to fix it
Sorry you had to be one of the players to experience this nuisance
